Founded in 1982 in Hartford, Connecticut by Kevin O'Brien, the O'Brien Realty Group started as a property management company for apartment and condominium communities. Multifamily brokerage and renovation/construction divisions were added the following year.

Over the past thirty years the O'Brien Realty Group has focused exclusively on the acquisition, renovation, repositioning and management of distressed multifamily properties.

The Company has successfully completed the turnaround of forty distressed multifamily projects and revitalized more than thirty-five hundred apartment units.

The O'Brien Realty Group currently owns and manages apartment communities in Charlotte, North Carolina and New Orleans, Louisiana.
