Devonwood Apartments was acquired with Summerfield Apartments in October of 2003. Built in 1973 and also severely distressed at time of purchase, the 241 unit complex was renovated and stabilized over an eighteen month period. New amenities included a Resident Pavillion, Playscape and Resident Car Wash. In August of 2005, Devonwood’s fifteen buildings were devastated by Hurricane Katrina. The property suffered wind, flood, tornado and fire damage. The complex was demolished in 2009 and currently contains 7 acres of approved vacant land.
